Yesterday they stopped giving Monique caffeine, which was being used to help keep her stimulated and reduce her bradycardia alarms and help her breathe, and she didn't miss a beat. She's still having bradycardia alarms (about 1 a day since she's been in the transition unit), but things are going very well.
She went above 3 lbs as of her weighing this morning! Her outfit even fit today and she wasn't swimming in it - so we're really anxious to see how tall (or long depending on how you look at it) she is.
Next week Amy gets to work on breast feeding her. We're really looking forward to this because 1) it's the next big step for Monique to start taking food orally and 2) Amy won't have to put milk in little bottles during those times. :)
