Monique is 3 weeks old today!! Well really -7 weeks and 5 days ...

She has surpassed her birth weight... woo-hoo!! She now weighs 2 lbs, 11 and 1/2 ounces.

She also grew lengthwise. She was 14+ inches at birth and is now 15 and 3/4 inches!

She is on full food, no more PICC line and no more TPN (glucose and lipids).

The biggest milestone of all is that she graduated yesterday. She was moved out of the NICU to the transition suites. She no longer needs the close monitoring of the intensive care unit. All she needs now is rest, food and tender loving care to grow. Her expected release date is still the end of April, but the move says volumes for how well she is doing.

As for her alarms, she hasn't had any since 11am, 3/25. Her heart rate and breathing have been great. She is still on a caffeine supplement, twice a day, to keep things stimulated to help keep alarms at bay. When she gets a few weeks older, she will be taken off the caffeine.
