Dancing Queen

If you know me at all ... you know I use to love going dancing (pre-mom days), so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise that Monique is the next dancing queen in our family :) Last night Monique put on a dancing show for Dave and me and I took some videos. You can check them out here. Her dance classes start in a couple of weeks and she's super excited!

It appears we have our basement water problems under control. One of the previous owners dug a hole in the basement wall and ran a PVC pipe though it, we are thinking he was planning on using it for the new septic system the house needed. Well the pipe was never used and it was never capped, on either end (in the house or outside). The pipe is about 5 feet under ground outside, so it hadn't caused us a problem before now with letting water in. But with all the rain we have been getting, the ground is saturated and it was running like a faucet anytime it rained. Dave capped off the pipe in the basement and so far so good. We also finally put a dehumidifier in the basement to dry it out.

Oh, as some of you know, Monique and I were in my friend Misty's wedding in the end of June. Here are some pictures of Monique coming down the aisle.

Hmm, what else is going on? Not too much ... we are actually home and visitor free for a couple of weekends (until Labor day weekend at least). Last weekend we went back up to VT for Dave's parents 50th wedding anniversary family dinner. Not really sure what we are going to do this weekend other than relax and catch up on house chores (our lawn hasn't been mowed for a couple of weeks). I may take M blueberry picking and there is a free concert in Hopkinton Sunday evening. I may even work on staining the adirondak chairs we got from Janice. Wow ... not really sure what to do with free time!
