Can you believe summer is almost over? Man, time has flown by! Since our last posting, we have gone to Boston to visit Mark, Clara and Timmy. Timmy turned 2 in July. Sam may have a run for his money! Monique and Timmy got along great. Dave and Mark took the kids to the Boston aquarium while Amy and Clara scrapped for the day. The aquarium wasn't the best experience for the guys. It was very crowded and Monique hadn't napped. Amy and Clara enjoyed their day of scrapping though!
Monique has made the switch to a toddler bed. She now sleeps in a blue convertible bed. It took her a while to warm up to the idea of switching beds, but she loves her bed! We took her for a train ride on Champlain Flyer to celebrate. The Champlain Flyer is a passenger train that runs from Burlington to Shelburn during the summer months. She was so excited to see and ride the train. I will take pictures of her in her bed and post them the next time.
Swim class was great. Monique loved it. She was so excited to go and hated getting out after class was over. Both Dave and Amy forgot to take the camera and get a picture of Monique at swim class.
Monique went to her first play. We took her to see 'The Three Little Pigs'. She did great. She sat through the whole thing and got autographs afterwards.
Nothing else is really going on. We are just enjoying some down time. This weekend we have the NICU grads picnic on Sunday at Shelburne Farms. The NICU at Fletcher Allen hosts a picnic every summer for the kids that have spent time in the NICU. It's a great way to see all the kids they helped and for families to keep in touch. Monique had a great time last year and I expect the same this year.
