After some unofficial studies conducted recently it is official - Monique is a Grandpa's girl. David's Mom and Dad have baby sat for them a couple times during the past couple months and Monique has taken to Papa Coutu. The strongest evidence to date was when we had them over to dinner on September 26th. Amy gave Monique a bath and stood her on the towel to dry her off. Monique didn't want to wait and tried running across the linoleum - she promptly slipped and bumped her head. Amy tried to comfort her, but she shoved Mommy away so she could run over to Papa for consoling...
Amy started a new job today! On the 22nd of September she finished off her time at IBM. She is now working at Competitive Computing - a local consulting company that develops in Microsoft products. Amy is excited to be going back into an office since staying at home was starting to drive her crazy.
A friend of ours, Janice, is staying with us for just over a month while she saves up money for a 2 month trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. If you're curious she's started blogging about her upcoming adventures, so check it out.
Finally, David's band had a bit of set back. The bass player, Ron, had to quit and will be missed. He has a fun loving, laid back attitude and was a pleasure to play with. Not to mention he could pun with the best of them and often had us laughing during practice. Fortunately David's brother, Pete, was available to try it out. So he's starting to pick up some of the songs and we'll see where it goes.
