We have been duly chastised that it has been 2 months since we've made an update. On the plus side that means we should have a lot to talk about, though we'll try not making this too long.
Clearly the most important thing is the latest numbers on Monique - as of December 9th she is 19 lbs, 14 oz and 27.25" long. Ember, our babysitter's daughter, weights slightly less and is only 1/4" longer, so I guess that means Monique has caught up! :)
Recently (last weekend) we made a trip to Pittsburgh to visit Amy's family for the holidays. It was a good trip and the get together on Saturday was fun. Monique got a chance to sit on Santa's lap and we both had too much to eat. Unfortunately the drive out there took us 16 hours because of the extra stops we had to make traveling with Monique and we ran into a snow storm. Also Monique got a stuffy noise which gave her (and is still giving her) trouble while sleeping, so we all were tired for most of the weekend. We decided to head back to Vermont on Monday instead of Tuesday in case we were too tired and felt we needed to spend the night somewhere. We made it home late Monday then spent Tuesday shoveling snow, emptying suitcases and some last minute Christmas shopping.
November (in a nutshell) involved us going to see the play Hair (which the drummer in David's band played guitar in) at the UVM Theater. Also, we got Monique's Christmas pictures taken (which everyone has probably received - let us know if you haven't and want one).
A while ago David and Chris Yager started pondering ideas for developing some new board games and recently Chris took charge on one of the games, doing a major overhaul on it. In the last month, they've got the group they play with to test it out and are approaching a completed game. So while David is only limitedly involved with this first game we're hopeful (or at least David is :) that it is just a beginning.
We must not forget Halloween - Monique had a check up at the hospital which she went to dressed as a dinosaur. Unfortunately she was fairly cranky and we didn't get to bring her around many places afterwards to show her off.
I think those are all the neat things that have gone on recently (though I'm sure I'm forgetting something). Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and maybe we'll make a post before the New Year - though no guarantees. :)
